Darryl Chamberlain is a musician artist, sculptor, historian and industrial technologist. He is the founder of A-Flat Music Studio Incorporated, and the founder and director of The A-Flat Youth Orchestra. His work in providing instrumental music lessons to youth across the Kansas City area has been highlighted on the NBC Today Show, Fox 4 News, KCTV 5 News, KSHB 41 Action News and many media outlets across the city. The A-Flat Youth Orchestra is entering its ninth year of performance and has performed at many prestigious venues across the Kansas City area such as: The Kaufman Center for the Performing Arts Future Stages Festival (six years), The KCBUF Annual Kwanzaa Celebration at the GEM Theater (five years), Teach for America at The American Jazz Museum, The Polsky Theater at Johnson County Community College and many other places around the Kansas City area. The orchestra classes are held through the talents of six teachers who specialize in specific areas of instrumental music from percussion, strings, brass, woodwind, guitar and marimba. A-Flat Music Studio is open to all kids across the Missouri/Kansas, Kansas City area.
